Why We Preserve Differently
There’s a familiar story many of us grew up with.
A wedding dress, carefully boxed away.
A clear plastic window.
A warning not to open it — not for decades!
Maybe it was your grandmother’s gown. Or your mother’s.
It lived on a closet shelf, admired only from a distance, its story preserved but untouched.
That idea — that the best way to protect something meaningful is to seal it away and never interact with it — is exactly what White Glove Preservation was created to rethink.
Preservation, Reconsidered
-

Preservation Should Invite Connection
A gown doesn’t become an heirloom by being hidden! It becomes one through care, context, and connection.
We preserve gowns in a way that allows them to be safely handled and revisited over time — not sealed away and forgotten.
-

Education Is Part of Preservation
True preservation doesn’t end when the box is closed.
We teach you how to care for your gown long-term — when to take it out, how to handle it, and how to refresh materials — so it stays stable and beautiful for years to come.
-

A Care Plan That Matches Your Life
Every gown (and every story) is different.
We create preservation plans based on your goals, whether that includes future wear, generational storage, reuse, or simply peace of mind.
-

Permission to Open the Box
Your gown is meant to be lived with and not feared!
We want you to feel comfortable opening the box years later, sharing it with the people who were there, and introducing it to the generations who weren’t.
Our Story
White Glove was created to offer a more thoughtful approach to wedding gown care. It is the sister brand to The Fitting Parlor, born from years of working directly with wedding gowns. That experience shaped a preservation approach rooted in construction knowledge, long-term care, and thoughtful stewardship.

“A wedding gown carries memory. Preservation should protect both the garment and the experience.”
